Introduction
Center for Teacher Education was established to educate secondary school teachers, offering required education credits taken by our undergraduates who desire to work as secondary school teachers.

Educational Aims
1.
  1. Cultivating excellent educators across fields: The mission of the School is to cultivate educators with broad vision and ability. They are expected to be efficient educational administrators in addition to teaching and doing the research .
2. Establishing "Holistic Education and Professional Development Program": The purpose is to expand the academic research on holistic education and to integrate educational administration, science education, special education or general education so that the graduate school shall be characterized by the academic research in holistic education and teachers’ professional development.

  1. Organizing and undergoing cross field and internationally academic cooperation; encouraging the faculty to apply for interdisciplinary research projects and also enhancing the international exchange in academic studies.

Curriculum Plan

  1.  1. One to Four year of full-time and one to six year of part-time postgraduate degrees with required graduate credits of 32 (exclude dissertation).

  1. The curriculum has been built up from the very basics with compulsory modules as the footstone and extensive optional modules as further studies. Students can thus receive a well-organized training.

b.Professionalized

  1. The School focuses on educational administration, science education and special education. In order to cultivate outstanding educational professionals, the School offers fundamental subjects in education, research methodology as well as advanced specific subjects in each program of the School.

c.Digitalized

With the combination of information technology into curriculum and instruction, the School aims to educate excellent math and science teachers in pedagogical and technological skills.


  1.  2.Two year secondary school education program, with 26 graduate credits and 6 months of secondary school practicum.

c. Focus on current major issues of education

Holding "Seminars of Current Education Issues," in which scholars and practicing educators are invited to enlighten students in up-to-date education issues. Students can interact and participate in the discussion and have deeper understanding in the trend of educational revolution and know how to cope with it.

d.Improve pedagogical skills

Teaching method and internship classes are videotaped. Feedbacks are given for
immediate self-correction. Moreover, visits to schools out of town and seminars are arranged for the improvement of students' actual teaching skills.
